Iran to open nuclear sites for IAEA

Iran to open nuclear sites for IAEABy Garibov Konstantin, The International Atomic Energy Agency hopes to receive guarantees that Iran’s nuclear program pursues purely peaceful purposes as it resumes nuclear talks with Iran on May 14th. Early in the year, Iran angered Vienna by slamming the door to the Parchin military complex in front of IAEA inspectors. A number of western media outlets have published satellite pictures of the Parchnin facility with trucks and earthmoving vehicles in them. This means that Tehran is trying to eliminate traces of nuclear tests. The IAEA’s Director General Yukiya Amano has a similar opinion saying that Iran is evidently trying to hide its nuclear activities but its nuclear facilities have to undergo thorough checks before any conclusions can be made.
