UN envoy for Syria Kofi Annan arrived in Iran Monday to talk Syrian peace after meeting with Syria’s President Bashar Assad in Damascus. Iran is considered to be Syria’s ally but it wasn’t invited to the Geneva talks on Syria held on June 30.Annan believes that Iran should take part in the resolution of the conflict.
