Winstone Jeans: To add new products under sub-brands

With the last two seasons having affected sales for most players in the apparel industry most of them are now looking forward to a positive season ahead. And Winstone Jeans from Ashapura Apparels is one of them. They expect the upcoming season to rotate the sales meter for all players. “We expect a 15 per cent growth this season,” says a confident Bharat C Vedant, CEO, Ashapura Garments. By setting up a factory in Kutch, Gujarat, the company also wants to get into mass production. “We are starting a unit which has state of the art technology to develop, denims, shirts, T-shirts. Its spread over 100,000 sq. ft. area and would be launched on August 15, 2012. This will have a capacity of producing 20,000 pieces per day. Our vision is to expand both horizontally and vertically with our brand,” Vedant opines. Ashapura Garments’ ability to perceive, understand and evolve latest trends helps it conceptualize and couture a range that appeals to men and women in India as well as abroad. “Right now we are doing only denims under the brand Winstone. Then we have a sub brand Foster Jeans, where we do denims for the mid segment. We want to get into shirts and T-shirts with the launch our new sub brand ‘Blue Touch’. Also we want to introduce a sub brand in formal trousers called ‘Tess Trousers’. We are already doing this for the international markets and will launch these domestically by 2013,” Vedant elaborates on the company’s future plans. Founded in 1979, Ashapura garments stepped into denim market with its first brand Winstone that has come a long way. Today, Winstone Jeans enjoys a presence across India and over 10 countries. “Brilliant marketing, innovative products, stunning designs, creative advertising and our distribution system are the elements that make up for Ashapura Garments’ success story,” explains Vedant. The brand collection is available at 2,000 MBOs all over India. Explains Vedant, “We are present all across India and we have depots in major cities like for instance, in Andhra Pradesh, we have an office in Hyderabad, Madhya Pradesh, we have office in Indore, in Tamil Nadu, it’s at Chennai and in Punjab we have a depot in Ludhiana, Karnataka, we have it in Bangalore, for Gujarat we have in Ahmedabad, for Kerala we have in Kochi, for Rajasthan we are in Jaipur, Orissa we are Cuttack and so on.”Source: Fashion United
