Now that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been appointed the new international Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS she’ll be a regular visitor to the UN headquarters in New York City. During her recent trip, Ash met a number of high-profile personalities including US Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton. “While attending the Shared Responsibility and Global Solidarity event, that was attended by former-British PM Gordon Brown (Special Envoy of the Secretary General for Global Education), Ash met Clinton briefly,” says a source. Ash also met Hollywood actors Michael Douglas, Forest Whitaker, Naomi Watts and former basketball player Shaquille O’Neal during her trip. International supermodel Christy Turlington also met Ash at a dinner hosted by the UN Secretary General at the Museum Of Modern Art. “She met Deepak Chopra, and other heads of states as well.
