The new EcoSport Titanium S variant features the same 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, but it has been slightly retuned to produce 138 bhp, which is 15 bhp more than the outgoing model. It is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and is capable of 17.8 km/L. According to Autocar UK, the 0-100 km/h time has improved by 1 second owing to the extra power. The new EcosSport has a retuned steering system, and a suspension lowered by 10 mm, as well as new damper and spring rates. The interior has more sound
insulation added and, as Ford claims, better interior build quality. The new EcoSport Titanium S variant features the same 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, but it has been slightly retuned to produce 138 bhp. The Titanium S trim is expected to feature a rear-view camera as well as an upgraded Sony stereo with DAB and Bluetooth. Also available for customers is a ‘Black Pack’, which adds gloss black alloys, roof and door mirrors, plus no roof rails for a sportier look. As part of the update, the new EcoSport loses the spare wheel mounted on the tailgate, which is otherwise fitted as standard in the Indian-spec model. The 2016 Ford EcoSport is expected to cost around £17,500 (INR 17.68 lakhs), and deliveries are expected to start from June.
