Jordan to build field hospital in Beirut


Jordan is building a field hospital within 24 hours to treat those injured from the massive explosion in Beirut, Lebanon. Two Jordanian Air Force military aircraft are flying to Lebanon carrying material for a field hospital.

The military field hospital will have 160 medical staff and doctors and will include 45 beds, 10 intensive care beds, and 2 surgery rooms.

The death toll has risen to 157 from a massive explosion in Beirut, Lebanon. More than 5,000 people were injured in the accident and many are still missing.

A massive explosion took place at a warehouse containing explosives at the Port of Beirut on Tuesday afternoon local time. Around 3 lakh people have been displaced by the blast.

Lebanese officials linked the explosion to some 2,700 tons of confiscated ammonium nitrate that were being stored in a warehouse at the port for six years.

Meanwhile, various countries, including Italy, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, and France, have extended a helping hand to Lebanon. Many have already sent food and medical equipment, while others have promised to send aid. Source: https://www.daily-bangladesh.com
