India’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been diagnosed with the coronavirus, he confirmed this in a tweet message on Sunday afternoon.
“I tested when showing coronavirus symptoms. The report came back positive. My body is fine. However, as per the doctors’ advice, I am being admitted to the hospital. Those of you who have come in contact with me in the last few days, please keep yourself isolated and get tested,” wrote Amit Shah.
Meanwhile, in India, one of the largest and densely populated countries in the world, the number of infections and deaths due to the pandemic is increasing. However, this is not the first time that the country’s top government has been infected.
