The Court of Arbitration for Sports, CAS’s ad-hoc division has once again postponed its ruling on Vinesh Phogat’s appeal against her disqualification from the Olympic finals. The new date for the decision is now set for 9:30 PM India time on the 16th of August. Earlier, the CAS verdict was scheduled to be announced last night. The Indian wrestler, Vinesh Phogat was disqualified in the just concluded Olympic games in Paris, as she was found overweight by 100 grams on the morning of the gold medal bout. Phogat had appealed to the CAS against her disqualification and requested for a shared silver medal.
